After two weeks of spirited competition, Phuoc Thanh Construction Joint Stock Company’s internal football tournament drew to a close, leaving behind a string of memorable moments and a stronger sense of unity across the organization.

In the midst of daily work pressures and a demanding professional environment, organizing collective sporting activities has become an important bridge between departments within the company. This year’s tournament brought together eight teams from various divisions and construction sites, creating a lively and competitive platform for all involved.

Beyond being a sporting competition, it was an opportunity for colleagues who rarely cross paths to meet and get to know each other better. Office staff had the chance to spend time with workers from the construction sites, and vice versa, fostering a sense of connection that extends across the entire organization.

From late February through early March, matches were held in close succession with players giving everything on the pitch. Although these were amateur players, their passion and commitment delivered some genuinely impressive moments. Long-range shots, well-timed headers, and smooth team combinations all reflected the careful preparation each squad had put in.

Fifty goals scored across eight matches underscored the attacking and entertaining nature of the competition. Teams played to win rather than to contain, keeping the atmosphere on the sidelines alive and energetic throughout.

The tournament took place during a period when disease transmission was showing signs of increase. Despite this, the organizing committee implemented comprehensive preventive measures throughout the event. Temperature checks before entering the venue, the provision of necessary medical supplies, and the maintenance of appropriate physical distancing ensured the safety of all participants.

This thoughtful approach reflected the sense of responsibility that the organizing committee demonstrated, placing community health above all other considerations. As a result, players were able to compete freely without concerns about their well-being.

March 7 brought the most decisive matches of the entire competition. The semi-finals featured two high-scoring, one-sided contests that highlighted the clear differences in ability between the competing teams. The squad from the Fresca Riverside project advanced convincingly, while the Procurement team also secured their place in the final in commanding fashion.

The third-place play-off went to a penalty shootout, producing breathtaking moments of tension. The pressure of each kick, the silence before every attempt, and the roar that followed each ball hitting the net created the most unforgettable atmosphere of the entire tournament.

The final standings confirmed the Fresca Riverside project team as champions, winning the title with a 4-1 scoreline. Their victory was built not just on individual quality but on seamless coordination and an unwavering competitive spirit throughout the competition.

The Procurement team, who finished as runners-up, earned considerable praise for their attractive playing style and their commitment to fair play. Third place went to the Hung Phat 1 project team, while the encouragement award was presented to the Safety team for their commendable efforts throughout the tournament.
